Amateur Artists

We are pleased to offer Amateur Artist sponsored spots.  These 4x4 foot spaces are intended for serious aspiring artists, local artists or art group to showcase and build on their chalking experience.  Interested artists are encouraged to apply in advance for one of the 20 limited spots. Online applications close at 4 p.m. on 6/20/2025.  Sign up at the Information Booth on event days.  

A limited amount of chalk will be available for purchase at $20.

Rules:

• Amateur artist working hours (but not limited to) are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each day of Chalk in Sauk.

• Artwork must be appropriate for all viewers – family friendly (No nudity or political statements).

• Artwork will contain no words or symbols intended as advertising or promotion.

• Artwork may not violate any copyright laws.

• The entire four foot by four foot artist space must be utilized, there should be no pavement showing in your square except where it is a part of the artwork.

• Artists must complete their assigned square by closing of the festival on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

• Only non-toxic soft pastels may be used.

Final finished pictures will be posted here.  (It may take a few weeks for the finished photos to all be posted.)
