CHALK IN SAUK is a FREE, two day art festival with entertainment, food, art vendors, and family fun!
There will be 10 professional chalk artists creating live on the streets featuring internationally known chalk artist Shawn McCann.
A giant mandala and childrens area will be available for all to color on.
A limited number of sponsored amateur spots will be available by preregistration for aspiring artists, semi-pros, and groups to create on. Chalk will be available for amateurs to purchase.
Artists come to display and sell their art. Pottery, jewelry, wood carvings, paintings, hand-sewn items, stained glass, woodworking (i.e. Game boards, cutting boards, and much more), artistic signage, food, and much more.

Ben Childs leads the band through multiple genres, tying it all together with their signature “banjo and bass” sound. From festivals to rock clubs and live streams to living rooms this exciting trio will get you smiling and dancing along before you know it.

Chalk in Sauk is moving to Park Road and Sinclair Lewis Park on June 22 and 23 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. The artists will be chalking and the public is welcome to view the art as it is being created.
Gratuities Accepted Please feel free to support the artists with tips and donations during the festival. Each artist square will have a tip jar and/or QR code for you to show appreciation for their work and all donations go directly to the artist.
What happens it if rains? Rain or shine, the festival will go on! If it is a complete washout, there will be a notice posted on the website as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Will parking be available? The festival will be held on Park Road between 71 and Oak St and in Sinclair Lewis Park. There is parking in the Sinclair Lewis Park, city administration lot, and the Sinclair Lot by Sinclair Lewis Avenue and r Oak Street. All three are just a short walk away! Park on any open side street.
Am I allowed to take pictures of the artwork? Absolutely! Take as many pictures as you want. There will be opportunities to take interactive pictures of the 3D creations once the artist has finished. The artist’s social media tags will be on our website and on their laminated bio next to their creation. Be sure to tag the artist and us!
